When researching car accident lawyers, you may see settlement checks and verdict amounts. Those figures can show the kinds of matters a firm has handled, but they need context.

A result from another case is not a price list for injuries. The evidence, available coverage, responsibility, and losses can differ even when two people have the same diagnosis.

Examples published by Gonzalez Muñoz Law

The firm’s published case-results page lists the following automobile accident matters:

Published amountDescription provided on the firm’s website
$7,354,059Automobile accident involving a fractured vertebra; identified as a verdict.
$3,125,000Automobile accident involving wrongful death.
$1,010,000Automobile accident involving a fractured pelvis.

These are historical amounts reported by the firm. They are not estimates for a new claim or a statement of what an individual client took home. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

A settlement and a verdict are different

A settlement is an agreement to resolve a claim. A verdict is a decision reached through a trial. A published verdict amount may require additional context about collection, later proceedings, or the final resolution.

When discussing a result, ask what the number represents rather than assuming that every amount was paid immediately or obtained in the same way.

Ask what made the case different

Useful questions include whether responsibility was disputed, what injuries were documented, and what insurance was available. A serious injury does not automatically produce a particular recovery.

Public summaries are often brief. They may not contain the records or procedural details needed to compare that case with yours.

Focus on how your claim will be prepared

During a consultation, ask how the lawyer would investigate your crash and document your losses. Bring the questions that matter to you: medical bills, missed work, insurance calls, or a proposed release.

An individualized evaluation should explain what is known, what remains uncertain, and which next steps are useful.
